Web Design Trends Worth A Discussion In 2022

September 12, 2022In Articles6 Minutes

Ultimately, a well-designed website is an essential part of growing any business.

User interface and user experience (UI/UX) designers are evolving and bringing new concepts to websites. I’m writing this article to help you be aware of several new trends that I believe we all need to consider before designing your next site.

Here are some trendy web designs for you to look at in 2022…

Dark Mode & Low Light UX Web

Dark mode and low light web designs are starting to reach their peak presence in 2022.  After recognizing the amount of time that people spend staring at screens it became glaringly obvious that #darkmode was going to be a solution for users. Low Light UX also gives users a great experience and is especially beneficial for people with poor vision.  Users across all walks of life just prefer to use dark mode to help prevent strain on their eyes and top companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp have implemented this feature already so you know it’s not going anywhere.

Chatbots

Chatbots are a form of artificial intelligence. People usually prefer a quick online chat while browsing the web if they have a question or are confused about something on a site… Rather than going into the menu to try and scavenge an answer,  it’s easier to chat quickly with a customer representative. But most effective marketers have figured out how to turn this feature into a filtering system by creating predetermined messages. If you’re an e-commerce based business and not utilizing chatbots as an effective tool to handle FAQS and filter chats between sales opportunities vs customer service priorities then you’re falling behind on the times!

Bold and Bigger Typography

Designing and choosing the right typography for a site is truly an art form and should be focused on from the beginning of building a website’s theme. If you look at other websites, you’ll likely find that there is more text than visuals and graphics these days. So, in this case, if your typography is done correctly with the perfect size and boldness of the typeface, it can leave a much better and more memorable impression on users. I recommend using interactive fonts or customizing them to make them appear as if they’re moving  This can make the font look more realistic and dynamic than simple plain text. These types of changes on your site can also help to communicate your message better if you utilize CSS3 to your advantage with basic animations.

Minimalism

You can make your site more appealing by keeping content simple, direct, and to the point. This is one of the most popular design trends in 2022, and I don’t see it going away—people these days like websites that are not overly complicated or cluttered. You don’t need to add a lot of stuff to your site to make it interesting. Just use easy-to-read fonts and icons, neutral colors, and relevant visuals for your business. Don’t overdo it. Just keep it simple…

3D Design Elements

This has been a popular trend in recent years. By using this 3D design you can display different types of objects more interestingly and make them stand out. This element can make icons and words stand out from the rest of the content on your site simply by applying a  three-dimensional look to your product. I’m never going to forget my amazement the first time I saw an e-commerce website that allow the user to spin the product around 360 degrees and see it from all angles. Additionally, for non-commerce-based websites, I’ve seen cool features like guided tours and even AR/VR effects when it comes to navigating the site.

Web design will continually evolve…

Make sure your website is interactive and easy to use on every device. Don’t forget to focus on successful and easy-to-find call-to-action sections on your home page. Additionally, make sure you include some of these new features for a better user experience.

A robust website design is critical to creating the trustworthiness your business needs to make it in the long run. By presenting an online destination that is simple and easy to navigate, users will have a more positive experience throughout your site, making them more likely to complete a purchase.
